Amazon has been talking about delivering packages via drones for a couple of years. Now it says it is actually doing it: Amazon says it completed its first trial delivery — done without the assistance of a human pilot — last week in Cambridge, England.
CEO Jeff Bezos, who should be en route to the Trump tech summit today in New York, tweeted out the (promotional) news this morning.

We’re still a long way from this becoming a reality — but then again, this was purely conceptual a few years ago. Now Amazon is pushing closer. If it gets there, what does that mean for the people Amazon currently pays to deliver packages to your door?
